The Atlas Lathe by Atlas Press Co.
The Atlas Press Company produces a superior lathe and other maching tools. They have done so since 1919. Beginning in the 1920's the Atlas Press Co, began to grow and increased their product line. Some of the new products included small machining tools which included the Atlas Lathe and Atlas Drill Presses.
By the 1950's they also included many other products which included the Atlas metalworking drill presses and lathes, milling machines, shapers, planer-joiners and other woodworking tools.
Then, the Atlas Press Co. purchased the Clausing Lathe Company of Ottumwa, Iowa. This allowed them to enter the larger industrial and commercial markets to sell big metal working lathes.
